BSA JANUARY 2009 NEWSLETTER

Greetings! I hope this newsletter finds everyone well and starting the new year in good form. The end of 2008 finds the BSA in good shape and with the facilities in good repair. I especially want to thank the crew that worked so hard and donated time, equipment and expertise to get the BSA Range in such fine shape! This effort will continue with some additional projects being planned for 2009. We will be putting up some wildlife nesting boxes and improving the Lake for fishing opportunities.

2009 Membership Incentive! All members that have their 2009 dues paid by February 21 st will have their name put in a drawing for a Model 70 Winchester Rifle. You heard it right.. .just for having your dues in early in the year you can be a winner and help us out by spreading out the membership card mailings. A membership application form has been enclosed with your mailing, feel free to use it or make copies for new members in 2009.

The 21 st Annual Game Dinner has been set for February 21,2009. An application is enclosed with the newsletter please read it carefully and if you want to attend do not procrastinate as this event is sold out every year! This year's events will include the Bob McGinnis Trophy Buck Award which Bob donates to the member with the best buck of the year. The festivities also include the Chinese Auction, Sportsmen's Raffle, Penny Raffle, and Gun of the Year Raffle, Reverse Bingo Ball and lots more planned!

BSA Officer Elections have been set for January 5 th at the regular meeting. All members are reminded to attend and participate in club activities. All meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 7 pm at the Lodge Building located at 1103 Boyers Road .

Sausage Making Day has been set for Sunday January 18 th at 9:30 am at the Lodge. Bring a sharp knife and be prepared for some cold hands! The sausage is used at the Game Supper and for the First Day of Trout Festivities at the Sportsmen's Lake . All are welcome to come down and help out in this club activity.

2009 Fishing Licenses are now on sale! Licenses are required at the Lake and Stream on club property. We do not want anyone to be fined nor embarrassed by not having a license due to a misunderstanding. On the other hand you are on your own if you fail to take care of business.
