BSA NEWSLETTER March 2008
SPRING 2008
MEMBERSHIPS are now due for 2008. The membership fees are the same as last year. Please do not wait until the last minute to get your card and put extra work on the officers on the first day of trout. The range and lake are for members use and this means that you need to be a current member in 2008 to use the facilities.
Spring has arrived and the BSA is in full swing getting the Sportsmen's Lake ready for the FIRST DAY OF TROUT! The trout order is better than ever and we have ordered some whopper trout! The lake will be stocked on Tuesday April 8 th at 5 pm .
Everyone is welcome to come down and help out or just check out the stocking.
CLEAN UP DAY has been scheduled for Saturday April 5 th at 9 am . Everyone is to meet at the Lodge and we'll plan from there! More help means less work for all!
OPENING DAY at the Lake will be on Saturday April 12 th . There is to be no chairs or blocking spaces along the shoreline, this is not Harbor Acres and plenty of fish are available all day long! We expect our members to be courteous and helpful. We will have a check in for memberships and you must be current in 2008 to fish. We will have food and drink and porta-johns set up for the membership's convenience and comfort. Please cooperate with the officers; we also are looking for some help!
A KID'S FISHING TOURNAMENT has been set for Saturday April 19 th from 9a.m. until noon . The Sportsmen's Lake will be closed to all other fishing on this date until the kid's are done at 12 noon . We need help with the fishing activity and lunch.
There will be three age groups; 5 and under, 6-11 and 12-15. The longest trout in each age group will be awarded a prize. All children are invited. Please contact Jay Hewitt 735-4124 for additional information and to volunteer to help out!
THE ANNUAL HUNTER SAFETY CLASS has been set for Friday July 25 th and Saturday July 26 th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
