Spring 2009 Newsletter
***President's Report: Spring has finally started to arrive and a sure sign of the end of winter is the planning of the 2009 BSA events. We'll have a last call for 2009
memberships and prepare the Lodge for some long overdue remodeling. We have accepted the bid of Eli Swartzentruber to remodel the kitchen area and the men's room downstairs. We'll be looking forward to see all of you around hi the next few months and try to come to a BSA meeting held on the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. ***Trophy Trout Stocking: The date has been set for Tuesday April 14 th at 5p.m. Bring a clean bucket and the family to help stock the BSA Lake. The folks at Laurel Hill Trout report that it will be a great year for trout fishing. The first day of trout is on Saturday April 18 th at 8 a.m. Do not set out equipment the night before as we will follow the same procedure as we did last year and check in members for current memberships. You provide the good effort, work and shoe leather! We will meet at the Lodge. PS- any kids that participate 'in sanctioned work sessions receive a free junior membership!
***BSA Supports the Community: The BSA continues to be a supporter of local community events and groups. This year the Moniteau HS Library will be the recipient of a BSA donation in member of deceased members. We have purchased the entire Eastern Edition of the Audubon Field Guide Series for the library. The library places a name plate in each book with recognition of our deceased members and friends. What a great way to remember our outdoor buddies!
